Adventure with Baba Lionel
I recently had the incredible opportunity to illustrate a unique and exciting children's book titled "Adventure with Baba Lionel" for Intercontinental Hotel. This project was particularly special because it combined storytelling, exploration, and culture in a way that was both educational and fun for young readers.
Concept
A little explorer's journey where Baba Lionel engages with the children and encourages them to explore and learn more about Singapore culture by sharing his own adventure stories through his journal pages left at each station and collectible pin badges.
A Collectible Experience: Pin Badges for Every Stop
What makes this journey even more memorable for children is the collection of pin badges. At each station, a new badge can be collected, serving as both a memento and a motivation to continue exploring. These pins are designed to reflect the essence of each location, making the adventure feel interactive and personal.
Inspiring Little Explorers
"Adventure with Baba Lionel" isn’t just a book – it’s an invitation to explore the world with an open heart and mind. Through the illustrations and stories, I hope to inspire children to be curious, brave, and eager to learn about different cultures.
As Baba Lionel says in the book, “The world is full of stories waiting to be discovered. All you need is a little curiosity and a big heart!”

I am truly grateful to have been part of this creative journey with Intercontinental Hotel and to have had the chance to bring Singapore’s culture to life for young readers. I hope this book sparks a love for exploration and cultural understanding in every child who picks it up.
